Jesus, the most excellent Leader of all, gave us His example. When Andrew presented his brother, Simon, Jesus said: "So you are Simon the son of to John? You shall be called Cefas (which means Peter)" (John 1:42). Jesus, when speaking to Simon, conjugated the verb "to be" into two tenses-“You are” and "you will be." In other words, Jesus was saying- "You are Simon, a fisher of fish--but you will be Peter, a fisher of men.” Jesus looked beyond to what Simon could become, and from that lowly fisherman, a powerful leader arose.
Fortunately, God looks not only to our outer aspects, nor to the defects of character we may now have. He looks beyond, and He sees what we, under the power of His influence, can become. May God place the seed of His love firmly into your heart. May it grow to fruition, as with the apostle Peter, unto the full stature of God's expectations for your life and mine. Take courage! We too, can become leaders of excellence in bearing the Good News to the world.

See Matthew 25:14-46 The man who worried about loosing his money, who worked hard to bury his money, had that money taken from him, and given to the one who risked the most. Then the rest of the chapter shows what can be done with money and what will happen if we don't use it wisely.

Unfortunately curruption and greed has changed the meaning of "sell" to taking some ones money and not necessarily giving value for money. If we want something we usually have to give some money, or offer a service. If we don't get what we want, we can become angry, especially if money is involved.
Before we get involved in or reject Direct Selling we need to realise that we are conditioned to believe the lie "Telling is Selling?" We reinforce the belief of "Telling is selling" by saying, "So and so is a born salesman, he could talk the leg of an iron pot, or sell ice to the eskimos." However, nobody want's to be talked into something we don't need or want
The conditioning of the lie " Telling is Selling?" is often passed on from generation to generation. Some examples are "Be told! How many time do I have to tell you?" then "What's the matter are you deaf or something?" This is a silly question, because it leads to yelling to try and get our point across. This usually puts an end to any meaningful relationship. I can tell you Telling is Not Selling, but you will not not necessarily buy that idea, until you believe it to be true and act upon it, despite your conditioning.
It is our desire to be a true professional and assist you to make the right decision for the right reasons. The last thing a professional wants to hear is "He talked me into it". The true professional is happy to hear, "Look what I brought" The sales assistant simply asked the right questions and helped me make the right decision. The sales assistant didn't sell it to me I brought it.
However, when things get tough, we will experience what is called "buyers remorse". That's when we want to shift responsibility and say, "It's not my fault, that rotten salesperson talked me into it. I knew I shouldn't have trusted him" (This is our conditioning of "telling is selling" coming through, as well as a reluctance to take responsibility for our decisions.)
This is why 95% of people don't want to be sales people and why MLM companies tell you you don't have to sell, or that they are not MLM. What happens to your credibility when they find out it is or that it's an illigal Pyramid scam?
The reality is we are trying to sell you the idea that You can take control of your financial future right now. You can start living your dreams. You can give up commuting and making your boss rich. Be your own boss, get out of debt, and make more money honestly and ethically.

And through you, as He divinely directs your path and sends you into the marketplace and into peoples' homes, He is able to touch peoples' hearts by your presence. As a Christian, you are a carrier of the Holy Spirit, so as people open the door of their home or workplace and invite you in, they are also welcoming and receiving the "Unseen Guest" that is with you, preparing the way for the Glory of God to be released.
"Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me." Revelation 3:20
Regardless of where you've been with the Lord in the past, today can be a new day for you in your relationship with Him. Say this out loud to Him now: "Jesus, I'm Yours. Please Forgive me, Fill me, and Send me. Amen."
