"No such thing as a secret sauce"
There is no such thing as a secret sauce when it comes to cleaning carpet.
"There are two types of dirt. . ." Carpet Cleaning Hand Book
Water soluble dirt- such as sugars, foods, ect. This is the dirt that water and detergent dissolve.
Solvent soluble dirt- such as airborne cooking grease, tracked in dirt from foot traffic, smog, ect. This is the dirt that solvents dissolve.
All Carpet Cleaners use the Same Stuff
All carpet cleaners use the same stuff to dissolve the dirt that's in your carpet. . . it's called pre-spray. It loosens up the dirt. Pre-spray is a combination of detergent and solvent combined in different ratios depending on how soiled the carpet is. The trick is to spray it on, loosen the soil and capture it with sponge before it escapes down into the carpet backing. The wet/foam guys spray it on first AND THEN ADD MORE WATER OR FOAM ON TOP OF THAT! Wet Carpet. . .
Ours prespray is safe for children, pets and plants.
Natural, Organic and Earth Friendly
The Difference between us and them!
There are three types of Carpet Cleaning systems.
Wet/Steam/Shampoo The hot water washes the loosened soils down into the carpet pile. Even the strongest wet-vac systems leaves 15% - 30% of all the water, shampoo and dirt deep down in the carpet pile and backing; it takes days to dry and when the water evaporates dirt and residue "wick" back up to the surface and spots reappear; many times worse than before. There are times when this method is necessary and results are superior to other methods. You want to avoid times like these!
"Dry" Foam Foam has less water and that's a good thing, but these systems tend to spread the dirt around with very little extraction. This leaves the carpet all one consistent color. The white is a lesser white. The tan is a darker tan. But when the carpet is walked on, walkways gather the soil to these areas and the results are often disappointing. I have, however, seen some good results with this method when it comes to dense indoor/outdoor carpet.
Dry Extraction Millions of tiny organic sponges are worked through the carpet yarn leaving carpet Clean, Dry and Ready To Use IMMEDIATELY.
It looks a bit like fine moist sawdust but it's actually an organic plant based sponge material. With less than a teaspoon of water per cubic yard and just the right amounts of safe detergent and solvent, each micro sponge attracts its micro portion of dirt, absorbs it and is vac-extracted out.
"For 95% of all possible carpet cleaning scenarios, this is the preferred method. Carpet is clean, dry and ready to use immediately." Charley Berrier
